Through the Storms

The Bollinger County Library has weathered the storm well. The “Start your own business” workshop will be held on March 5th from 6-9 pm with a cost of $10. per person. The reason I feel so strong about this workshop compared to information gained over the internet is the workshop that will be held here at the library is coming from the MUextension in Jackson with Richard Proffer the economic development specialist for Bollinger County. The information he will be speaking on is information meant for our community. Please call for a seat at this workshop to help you begin your dream! Call us at the library 238-2713!!!
The Senior Expo for the month of March will be held on March 3rd from 10-Noon with lunch provided if you call and reserve your seat. The expo will focus on Disaster Preparedness, Calling 911 and Fire Safety. Please call and sign yourself up and a friend at 238-2713.
The Runescape Clan will be meeting the 28th of February from 6-8 pm. The weather has certainly interfered with this activity in the past few weeks. I am hoping for good weather so we can get started. The young adults that I have spoken to are excited about this and personally I am excited to learn the game that fascinates so many of our young patrons.
The Writing Group will hold their first meeting March 6th from 6-8 pm here at the library. We are real excited about this group! The Celebration of Local Authors brought many successful writers here from our area. Knowing there is talent within us all, a group that you can bring your ideas and thoughts to is definitely a great step in the right direction.
The Story Hour is held on Wednesdays from 10-11 am. The quality time along with working on your child’s interaction skills is a plus for this story and art hour. Tuesdays are our Arts and Crafts Hour from 3:30-4:30 pm. Have your child come and be creative with us. Please call with any questions at 238-2713!
