Bollinger County Library
The library is gearing up for summer programs. We have such neat activities lined up for “The Catch the Reading Bug” program. We will be starting the first week of June. The focus is INSECTS!! We will be learning about metamorphosis within the insect world. We are hoping that everyone brings their children to the weekly events on Wednesday. The kids can share their love for books while learning more about life cycles. The weekly crafts will be fun and encourage learning throughout the summer!
The library has also renewed the yearly subscription to Heritage Quest. The Heritage Quest is an online search engine which houses the U.S. Federal Census 1790-1930, Revolutionary War Pension Applications (over 80,000 individual), Census Maps from 1790-1920 and thousands of genealogy and local history book collections. We are in need of the residents of are county to try this service and tell us what they feel about it. Is it a program you feel benefits the county as a whole? Did the program aid you in your genealogy search? These are the types of questions we need answered and you are the only ones we have to ask. So please come in and try it out!
Runescape will have their next clan meeting from 6-8 pm on Thursday the 24th. The kids really seem to enjoy this new program. We have around fifteen attendees if you know of a kid that is into online gaming bring them on in!! Call for more info at 238-2713.
