What I See Here in Bollinger County!!
Hello! If you have never drove through Bollinger County you are missing out! I drive to the library every day feeling as if I am off on vacation looking at the greenery surrounding me. I walk into the doors and am at peace. I have not stressed over traffic, worried about co-workers attitudes or a patron upheaval. I walk in to start a pot of coffee wander around making sure all is right and wait to unlock the doors. The majority of our morning people are our regulars. We say our good mornings talk about the weather or politics then seperate to our different destinations. The staff here is lucky with our "givers" within the area. The givers walk in with a bushel of green beans they had picked this morning, or a wonderful lady enters in with a warm rhubarb pie and we say our polite thank you's and rush to get a piece of pie and a cup of coffee. I am amazed daily with small town life and I feel I see the best parts of it right here at the local library.

Our COUNTY Library
Hello Bollinger County Library Patrons! The Bollinger County Library is open to the entire county. At times we have folks that stop by and ask if they can get a library card because they are outside Marble Hill city limits. The answer has always been an astounding yes. The next question is price which has always been FREE. The next time you hear a conversation with those questions feel free to jump in and say yes you can get a library card and it is free! We also run into people that have not been here for years since their kids are grown. We offer so much to all patrons such as new released novels, subscription magazines, an enhanced genealogy section, DVD’s, VHS’s and thousands of audio books. So come in and browse and see what new ideas your library has for you.
Computer classes will be up and running starting Sept. 8th from 10-11 am. The first few weeks we will be introducing you to the computer itself. We will be opening one up so you can see how those boxes work. We will also be describing the many features that come in basic computer packages so you can fully utilize your computer at home. The classes will be held weekly on Mondays from 10-11 am and are FREE to attend!
The library is gearing up for the Marble Hill Study Clubs 70th anniversary that will be held here at the library on Sept. 12th at 11:00 am. The state librarian will also be present. The library will have displays of photos of long past and many memories will be shared among the groups. All are invited to honor the Marble Hill Study Club who brought the library into existence here in Bollinger County seventy years ago.
